Phone line does play a part.
Downloading from diff websites also plays a part.

apparently both my friend and myself downloading from same site... but he's faster than mine... well i guess it has to do with the phone line... can it be rectified?? Huh?

u can get Singnet tech to go over test ur line. BUt usually they will claim it is ok.
