My baby has allergy to cow milk, possibly whey protein. His face got swollen when we fed him formula when he was a few months old. He is now 2 and a half. He has to avoid everything made from cow milk, things like cheese, ice cream, cakes, and even bread. Anyone has similar experience?

My son has the same problem. Do watch out that people around you are told about the allergy. Most people like to give babies tidbits. Even when I tell people about my son's allergy, they still don't really believe it. Have to watch really closely to ensure that my son don't get any food with whey protein. Not just what my wife and I get for him, but even strangers.. people like to give away sweets to children, and some of these sweets has milk.

Ya I remember an incident when a salesperson tried to sell me a loaf of bread and i keep on telling her that there is milk in it  and she denied it. Until I showed her the label, which says skimmed milk powder. Then guess what she said.... "not the same one lah.. this wont make your baby allergic or vomit cause is processed already not like fresh milk"  Angry Huh?
