Thanks colours for enlightening. Now I can go tell my hubby not to listen to aunty's tale so much! Me included of course! Tongue

How about the green coconut water? Is it a myth then? Even newspaper carries this advise some time ago, and Zoe Tay actually recommend it when she was pregnant.

Numerous first time moms!
My advice would be, don't worry too much.  Embrace the pregnancy period.  I recalled delivering the girls 'i need to go toilet to remove bowels'.  That's the exact word I told the staff nurse when I was 10cm dilated!

Addition, this is the right time to read books on breastfeeding & everything after delivery to get yourself prepared.  If not, you may not be able to understand your body & your baby.

I didn't have a confinement nanny, did everything ourselves from the start.  I watched Discovery Home & Living (ch70) and they have many birthing (imagine being fimed when ur delivering) & parenting related shows.  When I see those ang moh couple (esp the woman) handling everything themselves naturally.  I told myself I can do it.

Should you need any assistance on breastfeeding.  I breastfed both girls.  Youngest one only weaned off last week, before her 2nd birthday.

Finally, don't listen to others, especially old wives' tale etc etc etc yadayadayada.

Nobody knows best only U, the parent of the baby.
