I read in the internet and they say that homogeneous tiles will have curved sides at the grout and compressed marble can create a "smooth" floor effect, is that true?

Can anyone enlighten me please? Thanks  Huh?

Hi, I am stone restoration specialist, and has been in this line more than 20 years. Please let me offer my insights.

Nowadays, homogeneous tiles can be grind and polished like marble floor, leaving no pointing gap, and relieving you the trouble of re-polishing.

End result will render a dust/ stain-free pointing gap.

Haven't noticed this effect when walking on both tiles.. anyway, the grouting can be done to level with your tiles. Probably won't notice even if there's slight curved sides.
