....... want some alternatives that go well with baked chicken, baked fish fingers (your recipe), steak... many thanks for any tips!
Would you be referring to sauces, side dishes or mains?

I'm thinking about vegetables and side dishes to go with the recipes you've provided here.

Ah ok.... here's something simple to start with

Sauteed Asparagus with Thyme
i tbsp peanut oil
1 kg thin asparagus - trimmed
1.5 tbsp butter
0.5 tbsp thyme
salt and pepper to taste

Heat oil in skillet and add asparagus and sauté. Turning constantly.

When pan becomes dry, add a bit of butter until asparagus is cooked. Season with thyme and cook until asparagus is tender

NOTE: You might want to blanche the asparagus first

thanks! approximately how long will it take for the asparagus to cook in the skillet? how can we tell? i usually overcook or uncook veg.  Tongue

If you like it crunchy once it turns bright green, turn off the heat but let them sit in the skillet for a minute or two and it should be just right Wink
