Year ending 2008, Singapore had 1.2 million foreigners.

Today plus / minus eighteen months later foreigners are up 1.79 million, an increase of 0.59 million.

Local media reported " More Indian nationals are moving here. Number ? 400,000 still counting. Main reason for coming here ? Proximity and Tamil is an official language in Singapore.

Others here are people from China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Phillipines and Bangladesh.

Locals only two times the foreigners.  Grin @ 3.5 million.

Unchecked migration would see Singapore swell.

It was reported in the media that Singapore and  New Zealand's population would triple if everyone who intends to come and leave were allowed to do so.

If it happens all of a sudden, today's Singapore population of 5 million will swell to 15 million. ( locally born Singaporean stood at 3.5 million )

Grin Just imagine at Punggol as it is today, it's already quite packed. When fully developed accordine to plan, the density would easily be more than double it's present figure. Frightening ? is'nt it. When someone makes a miscalculation, and if the press estimates are correct, our population will shoot up three fold.

Can only predict when that time comes, Singapore will be a mad house.

New Zealand surely will be a better place to live in.

WHY  Huh? Probably, public transport, mrts, lrts, buses, taxis are all aircon. spaces are confine and conjested.
