Every Singaporean should remember that when OIL PRICES went up , everything GOES UP. Even a bowl of " wan-tan-mee " went up in the hawker centre. A cup of coffee also rocketed.

NOW, OIL PRICES came down, nothing goes down with it.  oops oops

The authorities at that time also agreed that when OIL PRICES went up, BUS FARES, TRAINS, PUBLIC UTILITIES will be increase in tandem.

NOW OIL PRICES keep droping, the genius said, " low oil prices won't translate into fare drop ". Which means to say, even with OIL PRICES keep coming down, bus fares and train fares may still go up in year 2009. Angry Huh?

Electricity prices to go up 7 % from July.

Electricity prices here will go up by 7 % from Wednesday because of increasing FUEL OIL prices. Again, soon, everything from hawker centres to restaurants, heartland shops to shopping malls, you name it, you got it,  including of course BUS and TRAIN fares will escalate again soon.

BUT, but when  fuel oil prices came down, most experts in the public sector said, " price of fuel oil coming down does not relate to food prices, bus and train fares also coming down.

 Huh? Huh? what's this !

Electricity tariffs for households to go up by 12.5% in Q4

For the quarter starting in October, electricity tariffs for households will go up by 12.5 per cent or 2.41 cents to 21.69 cents per kilowatt-hour.

SP Services said the increase is due largely to significantly higher fuel oil prices over the last three months, which rose by about 21 per cent to S$92.03 per barrel.

Don't understand leh.  Shocked

UP ? everything goes up.

DOWN ? nothing came down.

Sometimes they say, fuel oil prices goes up, electricity charges goes up. Sometimes they say, " oh nothing to do with fuel oil prices "

 Huh? Huh? Huh?
