Our govt already earnings Millions from water alone.  Remember, tax on water consumptions???  They bot water so cheaply then sell to citizens so many times more then tax us for using it.....well, i guess i do not be a genius to figure this out.   For petrol, we sud start using cheaper petrol grade.   We got rip-off by petrol companies.....In US, they drove big cars, SUV like Hummer and guest wat petrol grade are they using, Octone 89.   Ours, so small countries, speed limit 90 and worse in KPE 70, using Octane 98 or a super premium petrol grade.   If oil keeps on going up, transport cost will get higher.....which include our excessively price ERP, thus companies have to pass the cost to us.   We need food etc and all of these have to be transported to our neighbourhood stores etc.   Govt sud cut their "pay" ooops "taxes" on petrol.   They are already earning enuf from ERP, CPF, water taxes etc.  Sud let citizens breathe or one by one, we citizens have to sell our flat and rent from HDB under low income scheme.  Anyway, govt sud raise the income ceiling for low income from $1500pm to $2000.   $2000 pm salary is bearly enuf to have saving every months for most s'porean....so sad when u see many flats get repossessed by HDB.....they don give u chance anymore..... Sad

Oh yes! They have indeed raised the income ceiling. Infact, they have raised the level above the ceiling where the sky's the limit.
But not anyone elses, but theirs ofcourse!

Even if u are using 92, yr engine wont spoilt.  Most of us driving a Japanese/Thai made car.  92 is high enuf  to use.  In US, their cars are bigger and heavier....and they use 89.   Ours, car so small and light, we use 98 and our road are not like there in the US.    They have a very very long highways.  Ours, use 98, always stuck in the jam trying to enter TPE from Punggol.

May be the next in line for increase is price of water.   Eventhough our reservoir is overflowing, our govt wont lower the price of water.   Wonder wat they do with the $$$ fm 30% tax of our water bills.  Imagine how much already they earn per month.   Where the money goes???  down the drain....yeah.....spent millions to let us drink from our toilet bowl and drain instead of desalinaton which have proven to be cheaper and better due to technology.   Arghhh....kanna rip-off ......again    Angry
