"In his reply, Mr Lim said since its implementation in 1998, ERP has been effective in maintaining average travel speeds on priced roads within the optimal speed range through regular reviews and rate adjustments. For example, average speeds on the expressways have remained at above 45km/h during peak hours."

such ignorance with this sort of reply.. if i make the price of coffee Mr Lim be 10 bucks, of coz he will drink less or stop altogether. no coffee then drink tea lor.. same mentality with ERP. wana avoid the cost of coz wont drive on affected roads. use other routes thereby jamming them lor. since both routes also jam, the 2nd choice dont have to pay extra.

such is the quality of ministers we are having now.. but then agn he could be acting under the instruction of he's boss to fully enact plan "Price all singapore roads" followed by Teo chee hean with plan "Increase minister pay even more"

anyway heres the full read if anyone is interested

wow liao, recent budget announced so many incentives. Where do you think they will recover the money from.........ERP, of course!!!

If the public transportation & road network are good, don think many singaporean will choose to own car ( well....of course the rich may choose to differ )

i'd much prefer to tie him to a kite and then fly it over JB before cutting the string  smoking

i concur with bro Honda. theres no incentive to switch to public transport as it's service sucks, routes are planned for $ instead of commuters in mind and the worst, being subjected to a monopoly. anytime wana change price just change. PTC is just a front to shut citizens up.
