Cannot pump petrol in Malaysia (within 50km radius of S'pore & Thai)

How do you guys find this rule which will take effect from Friday 30 May 2008?

For me it's more of their loss than ours...their economy will surely be affected.

I last heard this idea has been called off.

Instead, non-malaysia plate cars will pump petrol at RM3.00 per litre.

Still cheaper.

Msia PM said this was done due to 'people' smuggling fuel out into other countries for a profit. I think it's more of their own people and those from the north.

We already got 3/4 tank rule so shouldn't be us rite. In time, vehicles have to pay full price for fuel at all stations in the country. They're only shooting themselves in the foot with this rule.
