someone mentioned ACS building fund, $1000 each student in Ritz Carlton dinner.

If it is donation drive, why still spent so lavishly in a 6-star hotel? Donation is suppose to be thrifty as public funds are involved.

Don't you know many businessmen come from ACS ? I was from ACS before, and I know many of my friends are filthy rich ! Some of them (foreigners) have parents who are ministers from neighbouring countries or even Sultans !

S$1,000 is no big deal to them and also, it is usual for ACS and its affiliate schools to have fund raising projects all the time !

Was thinking if ever I need to donate to charities like NKF, wouldn't it be easier to save and donate a dialysis machine to the centre rather than cash ?

I mean, anyone can run away with the monies, or spend it unwisely, but can anyone run away with a dialysis machine or trade it for money ? It's darn big man !

haha..If you are really interested, you can just do a donation directly to the centre.
I understand that NKF only foot x amount to the centre every year only, thus the centre themselves need to source funds for the balance operation cost.
