what's the reason that the government is not opening up 'freedom of speech' in Singapore? What are they scared of?

Simply b'cos the government is headed by the Lees who keeps its grip on the media and uses drastic laws to crack down on the few independent journalists. Not only did they bar Singaporeans from expressing their opinion on the government in their blogs, the Lees have recently filed a lawsuit against the Far Eastern Economic Review (FEER) for an article about an opposition leader.

Ops. I better shut up, else I may be bar from posting in the forums too!!! Hehe.
