I thought I was the only one who felt that it was too noisy!  I have written to HDB and they have informed me that the activities are organised by the RC.  The RC has been advised and will monitor the noise level.  This was 2 months ago and as you can see there has been no change.

Why dont we speak to the RC directly and together try to discover a solution.

I notice that there is a small football area at the playground which can be used as an alternative site.

I hope more people can express themselves freely regarding this matter and do not be afraid to voice out if you do feel that the noise level is too much.

Hi Savvygal and Pg21,

I guess all of us are facing the same prob. Btw, are both of you happen to stay in Blk 64+?

I'm staying in Blk 647 and my master bedroom is facing at the open space where they exercise. Furthermore, I staying in the low level so you can imagine how irritating it can be.

We have been putting up with them for 3 years...Yes!! 3 long years..... But we really couldn't take it anymore a few weeks back on a Sunday morning when they are celebrating their 3rd Anniversary for their "Punggol Green" branch.

Although it's a Sunday and they started the celebration around 6am, we still can tolerate that cos we're already used to it.

But we really hit the top when they started using the Loud Hailer to address their member like...."Move quickly here, there etc" .

I don't understand why they need to use the loud hailer as they only need to address to a small group of people. Furthermore, it's so quiet in the wee hour and even me can hear them loud and clear without using the loud hailer.... Angry

Can't they be more considerate and think of others who need to rest on weekends after working so hard on weekdays?? Not everyone are so free as them....

Anyway, we immediately called the Sengkang NPP and was told that a patrol car was dispatched to the scence. We called back NPP to check on the outcome and the sergent in charge told us that they have given verbal warning to the group and will also check whether did they apply for a permit etc...

Imagine, how embrassing it is for them when they are given the warning in front of their invited VIP from China and Chairman of RC during thier celebration Grin

And if you haven't notice......lately we almost thought they gave up working out cos the volume of the radio really decreased by alot.

Sorry for the long posting...

i stay at the open space opp meridian LRT station. there is this group of folks who exercise early in the morning at 730am everyday of the week (Mon - Sat, except Sun). I'm rather upset, coz they will turn on the music from their radio very loud and its very noisy. I think its rather inconsiderate, as i wonder how those parents with young kids cope if the kids are affected by the noise. The open area is enclosed by a circle of flats, and i think the noise level is all the more affected, unlike an open field/area. I have not tried to complain i'm not sure if its right for me to stop them from carrying out their morning exercises. I hope they can be more considerate to turn down the volume of their music.

CAN ANYONE PLS HELP ME PLEASEEEEE.....

Why don't you try calling SengKang NPP and seek their help?

It works for me...Anyway, there's nothing wrong with that cos you're not asking them to stop exercising, you're just asking them to be more considerate by lowering down the volume.
