By looking at the constructional progress, you'll notice how urgent it is to have a nursing home in Punggol. Also, how the authorities are not taking a greying population for granted.

Again by 2020, we will have 600,000 Singaporeans age 65 and above. By year 2030 those born during Singapore's independence will be 65 years old. Meaning those 65 years old and above will reach 1 million strong.

The speed of construction is unbelieveable.

It's surprising, some Singaporeans are against the idea of the building of studio apartments for the elderly near to their homes. First in Woodlands, the most recent in Toh Yi.  Smiley cannot understand why this is so.....

Time flies, today quite a number of flats in Punggol are already more than 10 years old, meaning those occupants are now 10 years older. You move in at age 19, now almost close to 30 years old.

Wink Luckily no body pays attention to the Nuring Home that are going up very fast opposite Nautilus and the third Punggol Executive Condominium Project.

Today workers are laying BRC reinforcements for the 3rd level floor slabs. Once ready, inspected, concreting will begin and soon construction will go on to level 4.

Looking at the construction, the columns, beams, floor slabs, lift shafts are all cast-in-situ ( every components are cast at site as the building progresses ).
