Have a look at Block 623 A

A bird's eye view of  Block 623 A, showing completed construction of up to the fourth floor level. Most of the prefab units are installed, except for the facade window units.

Probably in the next few days as soon as the window units are delivered, lifting and installation may begin.

From past reports, the speed of installation is about two floors for each month.

Normally, the first floor takes a longer time to complete because all the columns are cast-in-situ / cast at site for maximum strength, meaning :-

1. Every single column has to be constructed at site. The fabrication of all the vertical high tensile steel bars had to be erected one by one. The horizontal steel bars had to be bent, tie by steel wires, in accordance to engineering drawings.

2. Next the carpenters will come along and instal all pre-fabricated formworks, supported and braced by steel struts.

3. Finally, the columns will be concreted by 1:2:4 concrete mix or accordine to specifications after inspection.

After that comes the pre-fab floor slabs.

So far for Block 622 A, first floor completed, second floor pre-cast floor slabs are in placed.
