Twenty-five days later, a big structural section of the bridge / Punggol Road was built. The civil engineering contractor / structural engineers involved should be commended. It would probably take another month and we could possibly see the entire bridge / Punggol road diversion completed. This shows how efficient Singapore is.

This section of the waterway project is not easily seen by Singaporeans now because it is built on elevated landscape. On completion, this may be one of the best design spot.

Look at this picture.

On the right, the construction looks temporarily suspended. It is quite easily understood. Probably the contractors had to complete the Punggol Road / bridge section of the project first.

Once the bridge is completed, motorists can then make use of the new Punggol Road over the Waterway.

When all is working well, excavation through Old Punggol Road to connect to the opposite side of the Waterway can then proceed.
