I have seen people who put in alot of effort in their plants. And those plants are more "exotic" ones. eg. air plants, orchids. they are okay. However, people with money plants, bougainvilleas tend to let the plants grow wildly, without tending to them. Some of those plants are quite horrible looking. The money plants tangle over to the next floor, grow roots onto the walls, destroying the wall paint. The bougainvilleas tend to hang far out over the wall.. and become a hazard especially when they are top heavy, with small pots.. Some of these pots are precariously balanced, and may just topple off the building.

Another problem are the incense holders... or the plants that people put on their aircon ledges, or on the aircon itself. Have also seen a neighbour put a huge plant balanced on the rack for drying clothes.. so dangerous.. anytime can drop and hit people.

I think the plants are nice. Especially on my floor. I don't grow them myself, but 2 of my neighbours have potted plants. They are not overgrown. Neat and tidy, so its not bad.
