In the 1950's, Samsui women were mainly recruited by building contractors to construct buildings for Singaporeans, of course includes wealthy expatriates. Today foreign workers took over. Without them probably it would not be possible to build our waterways, HDB BTO flats, executive condos and private condominiums in Punggol.

At the moment, on the ground, they are still very busy fabricating massive  steel structures needed to house the various pools and facilities for owners to have an enjoyable luxurious living style when completed.

First take a look at this picture taken on 24 July 2012. The basement level is still visible from high rise building next door.

From high-rise, the shape of the 50M lap pool is clearly visible. At ground level, the pool is lined up with steel structures, although the base had been concreted. At one end is the spa pods, next to it is the club house with gymnasium, multi-purpose & function rooms, changing & steam rooms.
