Although certain areas of the building facade were marked for repair, in fact workers are rendering the whole building with cement plaster.

The workmanship of those plasterers on the gondolas were commendable.

Thanks Tom for sharing.

Based on the progress, when do you think they will start painting?

Do they only start to paint once the interiors are done up or they will do it concurrently?

Ever since building projects started in Punggol, whether it is by HDB or by private developers, as soon as the external facades were inpected, marked and finally rectified, rendered or plastered to the satisfaction of the inspection team, painting follows next.

After painting, another inspection will be carried out and there is bound to have areas that need to be touch up again.

First what is a formwork ? Formwork is a temporary mould into which concrete is poured. The traditional formwork which is designed and used in the construction industry since the 1950's was still in used today. A good example is the Bright Hill Evergreen Nursing Home now under construction in Punggol.

In the case of Prive, an up to date, made-to-measure light weight aluminium formwork, easy to erect, easy to dismantle is used.

Let's take a look at the floor slab and column formworks used by the two contractors as a comparative study.
